When a trend is worn by as diverse range of women as Kendall Jenner, Jessica Biel, and Jennifer Lawrence you know it’s got staying power. Center parts are ultra cool, but they can also be challenging to wear for us non-celebrities because they bisect the face, drawing attention to asymmetry. But tucking one side breaks up the even split and minimizes the attention to evenness. It’s a stylish twist on the center part that anyone can wear. Click the notes for tips on pulling it off. –– Laura Martin

Step: Before styling, apply hair cream to roots and mid-lengths  run a pea of defrizz serum through ends. Use the edge of a comb to create a crisp, refined center part.

Step: Rough dry until 80% of moisture is gone. Dry with a round paddle brush, smoothing from roots to ends. Use minimal elevation. Keep nozzle pointed toward ends and dry in a fluid, continuos motion, with dryer following brush.

Step: Mist hands with shine spray and dust across top surface of hair. Tuck one side behind ear, leave the other loose. Fish with a mist of primp.
