As well as showing off and commenting on a world of great hair, at Style Noted Towers we also encourage hairdressers to send us images of their work, so that we may share them with our audience, and learn from the perspective of professional stylists. In this spirit, we are delighted to post this image, sent to us by Martin Rodriguez. Not only did Martin create this vivid pinky hue, he did it using a Colour Wand –– a tool specifically designed to make hand-painted hair color effects easier to achieve –– that he invented himself. Read about his process for creating this beautiful hue in the notes.

“Using my Colour Wand I find a can achieve more precise applications, which helps to elevate the ombre effect. For this model, I wanted a strong red tone with splashes of pink running through. For the base color I used c77 20 vol and combed through about one inch. Then I parted the hair in four sections and subdivided these quadrants before hand painting on a variety of pinks and reds and garnets using my Colour Wand Tools. For styling, I used Kalea Rose serum, protective spray, and ultra light hair spray to encourage a loose and natural texture. It’s an uplifting and trendy color and style for spring.”
