Recently, we ran into lovely Maja of Elsa And Me; when we spotted her twisted updo and chic head scarf, we had to find out her secrets. Maja’s simple Parisian look is perfect for summer, when throwing hair up is all you can do to save yourself from scorching heat. She shared her own style notes with us and, happily, this updo is surprisingly straightforward. Keep reading to find out how to replicate this classy summer look.
Step: On top right side of head, gather a large section of hair and separate it from the rest. Begin twisting it back towards its base.
Step: As you twist, continue to gather more and more hair into the section until you are twisting hair together.
Step: Keep twisting so the hair entwines into a three-tiered bun (use the images as inspiration). Secure with two elastics.
Step: Wrap scarf around head and under the twisted bun. Tie it in a bow at the nape of the neck.
