’Tis the season for family gatherings, parties, and lots and lots of cocktails. While we all know that one too many spiked eggnogs can leave us subject to puffiness, dryness, and a few other side affects, you may not realize that drinking can negatively affect your locks as well. Too much alcohol can leave hair dry and brittle. Hair needs constant nourishment and your follicles rely on zinc and folic acid to maintain their strength. Alcohol can affect these nutrient levels, which long term can cause loss and breakage. Obviously the best solution to keep hair healthy is to drink in moderation, but there are a few other good habits  to keep hair healthy this time of year, and beyond.
