As I was looking for inspiration for a hairdo for an evening soiree, I came across the pictured look above from the Spring 2016 runway show of Cushnie Et Ochs. Overall, the brand has a super sexy and feminine style so I loved how this stacked geometric style added some power to the looks of the models. I decided it could add some power to my look too, transforming my two day old blow out from bordering on meh to stacked, veering on the path to fembot. Best yet, this style is easy to do and can certainly be worn straight or with rumpled waves. Click through to the notes to learn how to emulate this look. –– Michelle Rotbart Click for StyleNotes →

While fashion month is continuing its journey around the globe, I’m still catching up with all the beauty looks from New York and organizing my trend folders. There were so many trending styles in New York this season, most notably the focus on individuality. I loved seeing lots of different natural textures, waves, and even frizz (made fashionable). It’s going to be a great season for curls, kinks, and messy updos. To help you get a start on the season, I put together five of my favorite trends from NYFW.
