This is Marissa. Marissa is a budding fashion and beauty blogger who moved to NYC this summer. From the image on your left, you can see she came with a head of extra long, extra thick hair. While she didn’t want to part with such luscious locks, she found she needed something more stylish and refined for all the glamorous fashion shoots and after-parties she is now getting invited to. So she made a beeline to ARROJO NYC to see celebrity stylist, Nick Arrojo. The updated style, pictured on your right, feels so much more lightweight, with so much more freedom and movement, yet the integrity of a long length look is maintained. In the Style Notes, learn how this was done, directly from Nick Arrojo.

Fashion Blogger Lua P. of Le Happy (http://www.le-happy.com) has worn many variations of red-to-blonde ombre, ranging from subtle to extreme. But her latest variation is the brightest yet. Vibrant apple-red roots, ruby mid-lengths and peach ends make for a bold, yet blended interpretation of ombre. topknot

Fashion blogger Heather Epstein, AKA fashionistaNYgirl, gave us a treat this week. Her loose top-knot, blunt bangs, and wisps of free-wheeling strands create an archetypal summer look for the girl about town. Keeping hair off the face keeps you cool and adds an illusion of lift for cheekbones and chin; the flowing tendrils frame the face and maintain a beatnik summer spirit. Pair with a fancy red lip and you can be an It Girl too. For tips on recreating this fashion-forward look, click style notes.
