dascha polanco

Sleek, damp roots usually give a just-out-of-the shower vibe that’s about looking effortless and athletic. But Dascha’s sculpted waves add glamour while keeping the easy-going vibe of mixed wet and dry textures. Her blend of loose and structured, vintage and contemporary, feels fresh and very cool. Paired with diamond studs and a crisp white jacket this look is a whole new take on Hollywood glamour. Learn to create it in the style notes. –Laura Martin

kate mara

The Golden Globes saw a number of drool worthy gowns and accessories, but what really caught my attention was the number of cropped hair cuts on the red carpet. IT girls like Rosamund Pike and Emma Stone were noteworthy, but it was Kate Mara who stole the short-locks show. Her stylist added a simple twist near the actress’s neck––raising her glam factor off the charts. And with everyone, from actresses to girls on the street taking off a few inches in 2015, I feel this style will come in handy whether you’re headed to a fancy even or just to brunch.
