Two quintessential New York City brands came together for one of NY FashionWeek’s most creative shows. Saku New York, a contemporary high fashion womenswear brand with showrooms in the East Village, challenged ARROJO NYC, the modern creative hairdressing brand with three salons in downtown NYC, to create hairstyles inspired by ‘femi-casual sea creatures.’ Happily, we had backstage access as lead stylist Alex Efstratiou “pushed the envelope to create styles that matched their vision.” See a pictorial story of the show below.

The short lived disco era peaked in the late 70s and was dead by the end of the decade. Yet every season, including the one we’re in now it manages to resurrect its glamorous head within fashion and beauty.
