Hairdresser to royalty, Kate Middleton’s stylist Daniel Hersheon is making a big splash with his collection simply titled Eight Cuts. The Eight Cuts collection is eight hairstyles that were derived from iconic looks like Debbie Harry, Linda Evangelista, Stevie Nicks and other fashion and beauty icons. The looks are classic with modern updates. With the trend moving towards more true haircuts and less long with extensions, this is something to keep your eye on. Long, strong, thick, lush and bouncy the Duchess of Cambridge really does have a royal mane. Her layers always hit the cheekbones, her bangs always sweep over the eye, and her hair always looks lustrous and full of shine. But what gives it the splendiferous regal touch is the bouncy cascading curves on the ends. Nothing like beach waves, which tumble all through the length and have a gritty bohemian feeling, this is a rich, lavish and sophisticated style for plush parties on the lawn. Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, stepped out to attend this week’s Portrait Gala at London’s National Portrait Gallery, where her royal bling was matched only by her royal curls. Her long-length hair was center-parted in the seventies style, and featured a drop down wave cascade, with soft, spiraling ‘C’ shapes tumbling down her sweetheart neckline. You’ll likely have to see the Queen herself for diamonds like those, but the inspired hairstyle only needs a few products and tools, tips and tricks. For our recommendations, click style notes.

Poppy Day presents the perfect opportunity for life-affirming pageantry and England’s pop princess was on hand to bestow regal grandeur on us all. Eschewing her swooshing side-part in favor of a flowing center-part on her Remembrance Day walk around Kensington Palace, the heiress’ beauty look was reminiscent of Farah Fawcett’s darling look. Paired with her usual tousled waves, the adjustment to the part creates a whole new face-frame for Kate, highlighting how even the subtlest change can make a dramatic difference. To learn how to style your hair in a waving center-part, click style notes.
