Taylor Swift has that ethereal quality of appearing light and airy and delicate, almost too perfect. It is a lot to do with her hair color, which, amazingly, is completely natural. No wonder Michelle banned her from the White House! Ok, that’s just tittle-tattle, hearsay and canards but penchant for sexy characters and a naturally sultry demeanor makes Kerry a bona fide sex bomb –– and this hair is an explosion of style!  Kerry’s locks are a great match for this cut. She has natural wavy texture and the style is heavily layered throughout to create space and freedom that accentuates her hair’s shapeliness, allowing her tresses to swing and move in a soft, pretty and natural way.

Today we have a curly hairstyling how-to from one of NYC hippest fashion bloggers –– and full-time owner of gorgeous fiery red locks with dreamy natural curl –– Claire Geist. We invited her to ARROJO studio, NYC, where peachy stylist, Huich, kindly helped us show the way to two looks with enhanced texture. Playing with her hair was quite the treat and we settled on showing an enriched, natural curl, and an easy and inventive updo. These softly tousled looks work when you’re in a rush, they’re great for summer nights in the city, and they highlight eye-pleasing ways to show off naturally curly texture.

At Style Noted, we invite hairdressers to submit their own inspirational work so we can all share ideas for great new styles. Our latest submission is from Mark Heavener, owner of Salon Heavener, Laguna Hills, California. This short, razor shag uses inventive, triangular cutting patters that create disconnections, heavy layers, space and freedom for hair to swing and move. It shows that a well-executed, trendy and textured, loose and natural cut can also be age appropriate, and create youthfulness.
