Last night was the annual Tony Awards, where the musical theater scene assembled at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Broadway, Kevin Spacey, and political resistance; What more can you ask for during an award show? Not to mention the stunning looks that paraded the red carpet & the picturesque white rose backdrop.
Last night, the pretty and the privileged got together to award themselves Golden Statuettes at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This year’s Met Gala theme was Manus X Machina: Fashion In an Age of Technology. The red carpet was full of metallics, intricate embellishments and clever cutouts. In fact, the clothes were so interesting that hair and makeup were easy to miss, but a closer look revealed some stunning styles including these looks written about by my fellow blogger, Michelle Rotbart. But most memorable for me was Rita Ora’s sleek bun topping a geometric arrangement of mirrors. This style was perfect for the red carpet, but could also add some sparkle to your festival attire or even top your favorite date night ensemble. Best of all, this look is a cinch to recreate; learn how in the notes. – Laura Martin Click for StyleNotes →
