gelled
When I think of gelled hair all I can think about is my 90s looks of crunchy gel waves and curls that I thought were amazing. They don’t look so amazing anymore but Gel is still a great product to have in your arsenal to create modern, chic, and fashion forward styles. It’s all about using it sparingly and in the right way. A touch of gel adds just the right amount contemporary feel to lots of looks. So how do you bring this product into your strands? Click the notes. –– Kelly Rowe

sumo knot

The sumo knot, the looped version of a hair knot which I spotted at the Carolina Hererra Spring/ Summer 2015 show. The editorial look is simply amazing, but unless you have some serious, shellac hairspray or major extensions this look isn’t exactly wearable. Luckily there is a way to achieve this style and look perfectly chic all summer long. Click through to style notes to get the details. –– Michelle Rotbart
