To stalwarts of each brand, choosing Nike or Adidas is a commitment as strong as being a Yankee or a Red Sox. Always looking to outdo each other, each is now batting in the field of fashion. The Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott fall-winter 2014 collection stars Sara Sampaio in long, carefree tresses and takes inspiration from bondage and hip-hop to make a domineering statement in sequins and mesh; meanwhile, Nike asked Pedro Lourenço for a line of activewear for modern women, with Karlie Kloss showing off her svelte (and sweaty) physique and bobbed hair is a range of sporty yet fashionable wears. Pick your favorite collection with images from both look books in the style notes.

The current biggest trend in fashion is athleisure. It’s a new term to describe active and athletic wear that can be worn away from the gym and looks nicer than the standard sweat outfit. Trending looks consist of pairing track pants with blazers, dresses with sneakers, and variations of sweat shirts and soft knit pants and leggings. And what could look better with sport-inspired attire than a sporty braid? A classic French braid with a slightly more urban feel is perfect to go along with the atheleisure look. It’s a mix of sleek and casual and doesn’t require much effort. Your whole look will reflect that you’re a woman on-the-go.
