ARROJOxSTYLENOTED

We are happy to announce a new weekly segment that will be featured on Style Noted called Wednesday Wisdom. We have teamed up with ARROJO, the cutting-edge NYC hair salon pioneered by the world-renowned stylist, Nick Arrojo. Some of you may know him from his time spent on TLC’s What Not To Wear or from his many hair shows around the globe. His modern creative hair cutting and styling techniques have been passed down to his talented students and stylists at each of  his salon locations.

Every season I anxiously wait to see the hair accessories at the Rodarte runway show. Laura and Kate Mulleavy are known to show decorative barrettes or bejeweled pins, but this season the ladies created mischievously romantic head pieces. Polished metal crowns decorated with colorful cast-metal orchids finished off the models textured waves and chignons. Wispy pieces were left dangling at the front for an ethereal look. This mix of jewelry and flowers is a great update of the floral crowns I keep seeing. I expect to interpretations among festival goers and bohemian brides within the next few months.
