I will always love a great braid, so when I saw Kate Bosworth’s hair at the SAG Foundation “The Art of More” event recently, I was in total awe and admiration. I’ve called out Kate a few times for her excellent choice in plaits, but this inside-outside braid is so beautiful that I want to wear it now!  Lucky for us, I have a great tutorial for this wonderful Grecian inspired braid. There is something lovely about a hairstyle that feels precarious, as if it could tumble at any moment. Like bedhead texture, loosely pinned updos lend an air of nonchalance. Pair this style with a simple blouse, minimal makeup and a great pair of heels for devil-may-care sexiness. Click the style notes for tips and product recommendations. –– Laura Martin

In the summer it’s nice to look like you stepped off a beach, whether you live near the ocean or not. Summer chic is as simple as bronzed skin and a casual, wind-blown updo. A few wispy tendrils make updos looker softer a sexier, but getting them can be difficult; pulling strands loose with your fingers creates clunky chunks instead of soft wisps. Read on to learn the trick to achieving a breeze-ruffled finish. –– Laura Martin
