This beautiful natural ‘do reminds us of Jerry Hall’s signature side part. The look is updated with a gorgeous soft gold tone and fabulous fullness. Hair painting is the new vanguard of coloring and this is another stellar example of how it is used to add perfectly tailored face-framing highlights to the ends of the style.

Step: Ask your colorist for a medium natural gold base. Then have the ends and the face frame lighted with the hand painting technique.

Step: Cocktail Styling Whip and Volume Foam and apply to damp, towel-dried hair.

Step: Hand dry with Blowdryer. Start by lifting hair off the roots and apply heat; this creates volume at the root. Continue to blowdry the rest of the style by pushing hair around to invigorate nice texture and movement. Focus on fullness and luster and shine.

Step: Close to dry, use a comb to create deep-set side part. Take the part from the outside arch of the eyebrow all the way across.

Step: Use hands to place hair as desired. Add a light film of Shine Spray along the hair’s top surface for sheen.
