There was a time, a time of powder blue eyeshadow and Aquanet, when the mall bang was the epitome of cool. The higher the roots, the more dramatic the wave, the hotter you were. Now this iconic style is making a comeback. It’s softer, free of the retro shellac, but just as fierce as the original. Step: Prep hair with a big handful of styling whip applied roots to ends for light hold, volume and shine.Rough dry to remove 80% of moisture.
Step: Separate the bang section from the rest of the hair and clip away. Dry remaining hair using a ceramic round brush, working from roots to ends with lots of elevation to create soft movement.
Step: Release bang section. Part deeply on one side then pull hair up and back on a diagonal, away from the part. Dry while rolling ends toward the forehead. Allow to cool, then brush through, flick ends out. Finish with holding spray.
