Doutzen Kroes has some seriously beautiful hair. Naturally, it seems, she has those golden, wavy locks that reminds of Hollywood glamor. Still, she’s wearing it right on trend, and, actually, she’s cleverly enhanced her innate texture and shape to create an organic-looking style. For hair color, she’s really a light-to-mid brown, but that’s close enough to flaxen to make this sensational golden tone. And the formation of her strands is slightly wavy, which means they can be easily encouraged and enhanced into this cascading waterfall of tousle. Notice the center-part, and how the hair drops straight down from the crown and goes into glorious waves around the arch of the eyebrow, drawing our attention to her super model features –– a modern take on the seventies, it is set to be the hottest style of the summer.

Step: To go from mid-brown to blonde, ask your colorist for a high-lift tint and/or multi-dimensional blonde highlighting.

Step: For the cut, go for a mid-to-long length layered style.

Step: Apply styling whip and volume foam, roots to ends of damp towel-dry hair.

Step: Use comb to create a center-part. Blowdry the crown straight down using paddle brush.

Step: From the eye-line down, down each side-section, twist small sections of hair around two or three fingers. Take each twist and blowdry it up and down. This increases waviness, creating nice ‘S’ shaped waterfalls.

Step: If this doesn’t make enough texture for you, finish the style by curling hair with curling iron.
