Blunt sleek hair, blood red lips and pale skin looks sexy in January, but in June it just looks scary. Warm weather fashion needs to be a little easier, a little more effortless. A deep side part, flicked and tousled ends and hand painted highlights transform a sleek brunette bob into something lighter, softer and perfect for summer. Pair it with a little bronzer and some lip gloss and you’ve got a perfect summer look. Click the style notes for step-by-step instructions.
Step: A one length, long bob cut with a razor has a classic silhouette and a clean edge, but ti’s lighter than a variation created with a shear. Razored edges hold texture easily and the reduced bulk makes the shape softer and more voluminous.
Step: Add some lightness with hand painted highlights focused on the sections around the face. For a warm sunny finish, tone with bronde or golden copper.
Step: To style, work a quarter of volume foam into roots and spray ends with wave mist. Wrap hair on large velcro rollers and allow to air dry. Part deeply on one side. Tousle through with fingers; finish with a light spray of healing oil, focused on ends.
