It appears Kim Kardashian has once again broken the internet this week, by revealing on her website that she only shampoos her hair twice a week. Kim went on to write ”keeping your hair shiny and soft in the winter can be difficult! I only shampoo it twice a week to prevent it from drying out.” Who would have thought she was so low maintenance? Mrs. Kardashian-West does have a good point though, over cleansing can cause dryness especially in this weather. Now that the winter months are actually here, it’s important to protect your hair from damage that this season can cause. Keep Washing To A Minimum
Kim is right on with this tidbit. The less shampooing you do the less your hair will dry out. Also make sure your hair is completely dry before you walk outside. The moisture in your hair combined with the cold air could damage your hair, making it brittle. And o you’ll probably catch a cold!
Treat Hair with Deep Conditioning Treatments
This is a great time to give your hair a weekly treat of whipped treatment. This conditioning treatment will replenish moisture and make your hair feel soft and look amazing.
Regular hair trims especially during the winter months are important. Make sure to see your stylist every six to eight weeks to keep the ends from becoming dry, dull, and split.
Invest In A Humidifier
Seriously, it’s a new year. Step up your hair care game. The heat in your apartment is actually wreaking havoc on your hair and a humidifier will make your skin and hair feel less dry.
