I love second day hair. What I would do to live in the perfect equilibrium of sultry texture and easy styling. And while it’s true that the perfection of unwashed hair has some flaws, the results are almost always worth it. However, should you find yourself afflicted with some of the common issues involving second day hair, I’ve got a few solutions that will do the trick. There’s a quick and easy fix for greasiness and it’s our best hair friend –– dry shampoo. And quite a lot of it. While dry shampoo is basically the go-to for any second-day hair look, the truth is they’re not all made equal. I’ve tried more than a few and I still lean to ARROJO’s ReFINISH––it’s great for volume and texture and perfectly absorbs excess oil.
While hair tends to have more texture when it’s not freshly washed, some hair types, especially those whose hair tends to be fine and lank, find their manes flat after a day without cleansing. While dry shampoo can fix the issue, you can also opt for dabbing some texture paste into the undersides of your hair whenever you want some volume, like at the roots. The paste provides more structure and hold than dry shampoo, which makes it great for long-lasting volume and texture on second day hair.
If you want to restore some shine without getting greasy, pull out the dry conditioner. I like refresh for it’s ability to fight static and restore fullness, moisture and shine without adding any weight.
