As the temperature gets hotter, the hair trends are getting cooler. By cool, I mean WET! The fresh-out-of-the-shower look is having a moment in hollywood— Gigi Hadid, Lily Collins, and Ashley Olsen were seen rocking a damp do on the streets this week.

The key to most of these wet looks are actually not gel but pomade. Yep, the ole men’s pomade isn’t just for the guys anymore. No hairspray, no shine sprays, nothing. The pomade keeps everything in place until you wash it out; it’s a miracle styler!

Here’s 3 wet styles for you to try at home.

Gigi Hadid’s Polished Knot

Last week instead of rocking her signature beach waves she opted for a simple finger-raked polished knot.

How To: Rake pomade through the crown of your head with your fingers, then flip your head and secure your knot. Easy as cake.

Ashley Olsen’s Sleek Middle Part

Ashley Olsen is taking her middle part staple up a notch. This bay-watch-esque, just got out of the pool, look is perfect for summer.

How To: After getting out of the shower, run styling whip throughout your hair, from root to ends for a little added wave. Then take your pomade and run it over your middle part down to your ears. You can even use a tint brush and completely paint the pomade onto your hair.

Lily Collins’ Gelled Waves

Lily Collins opted for optimal wet looking waves. Since this look utilizes more hair, we suggest gel.

How To: First, scrunch wave mist into your hair while wet. Then run gel throughout the top of your hair, swopping it to one side. Do another round of scrunching and finish with a bit of hairspray.
