If you’ve got long hair and have wondered what it might be like to go short, this style is for you! Believe it or not, this is a long hairstyle inventively tied back to create a shorter effect, with the top all twisted to give a piece-y, edgy look. It shows a strong way to wear hair to give the impression of a short cut. We love the carefree texture on top, which lifts up the cheekbones and chin. The color is a luscious chocolate milky brown, with golden highlights frolicking around the face.
Step 1: Towel-dry hair to damp. Section the hair below the round of the head. This creates a horseshoe section on the top of the head.
Step 2: Down both sides, use Styling Crème to slick hair back. Gather this hair in the back, twist up into a tight bun, and pin through the back.
Step 3: Use a very larger barrel curling iron to create movement through the top. Make six sections and, section by section, wind onto iron. Hold for a few seconds; release.
Step 4: Spray the top heavily with ReFinish Dry Shampoo. Use fingers to loosen. Create a lived-in feeling.
Step 5: Twist and pin through the top to create a soft, yet separated look.
Step 6: Finish with a little Pomade to define and add shine.
