Hair masks are something I would typically recommend leaving to the weekends. The preparation for the mask, the set time, and the heaviness your hair may get afterwards is normally not ideal for weekdays. What you will need
3 Tablespoons Shea Butter
2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
Optional: Essential Oil of your choice
Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner
Step: In a double boiler or microwave melt the coconut oil and shea butter together.
Step: When the two are melted, mix them well with a whisk while adding a couple drops of the essential oil of your choice. I recommend lavender for relaxation and peppermint for a pick me up.
Step: Allow the mixture to cool a bit then apply to clean and dry hair. When all of the mixture is on your head, comb through and wrap hair in saran wrap. Allow the mask to sit for 30 minutes.
Step: When the time is up rinse well and lightly cleanse with gentle shampoo and conditioner.
