braidhawk

Need a style that will take you from the gym, to your errands, and on to brunch in one weekend? You are probably thinking a ponytail will be fine; don’t settle, you can upgrade your pony to fab. Make it more fun and eye catching by adding a braid-hawk to it. Click the notes for the details of how to do it. –– Kelly Rowe

Step: Layer refinish into a mohawk section on your head and lightly back-brush.

Step: Start an inverted French braid, braiding on top of the back-brushed area.

Step: Braid 3 inches past the crown of your head and secure a ponytail. Pull the ponytail tight so it pushes the braid forward. Pull the edges of the braid to widen and loosen it.

Step: Use a section of the ponytail to wrap around the base, hiding the elastic. Add a bit of wavy tousle to your pony with a curling wand.

Step: Mist everything with primp for hold and shine.
